Elevated Living
This home began as a 1950s foundation in a coveted Belle Meade neighborhood, and became a place where a growing family could truly settle in. The couple had recently returned to Tennessee from New York to raise their children with a slower pace and more space, and this house was meant to reflect just that. We took the home down to its bones and rebuilt it with intention: adding three bedrooms, a jack and jill bathroom, a playroom, a home office, and two powder baths; all while keeping a strong sense of organic materials, earthy tones, and a touch of modern charm.
Their style was rooted in warmth: think creamy whites, warm wood cabinetry, marble and quartzite, unlacquered brass, and softly layered textures that feel both timeless and tailored. The kitchen and primary bathroom are standout spaces. The kitchen, often saved as inspiration by future clients, features soft wood tones and natural stone that feel effortless. In the bathroom, the iron grid shower and stone details bring a subtle edge to a serene space. My role in this project was both creative and strategic. The client had beautiful taste and a clear vision, my job was to help bring it to life and advocate through every pivot. From design tweaks to construction curveballs, we worked side-by-side to create a home that would grow with them and ground them for years to come.
